During these unprecedented times, it’s very challenging to maintain the motivation to be an artist: In response to this, I decided to rise to the challenge and utilize the materials and environment I have in my everyday life.

 

This body of work showcases an experimental aspect of my current studio practice, that is rooted in comedic values, which present a façade to be taken apart and unpacked. Deadpan, Dry humour and absurdity are sources of great inspiration because I feel they not only offer necessary distraction and entertainment, but they also retain a connection with society.

 

Each individual person may draw different connections with the punchline of a joke, and this is the deeper aspect of the investigative yet playful images I have produced.
